Brainspotting is a brain-body technique used to gain access to our deeply embedded traumas held in the subcortical brain, often not accessible by talk therapy alone. This technique is very useful for emotional and physical pain, as well as issues with sleep and performance.

Justin’s story shows us how the experience of being a male in athletics can come with its own stigma, especially in regard to mental health. Justin describes his various struggles with athletic injuries beginning at a young age, and the depression that followed after each injury. He shares a story of determination and resiliency to overcome his injuries to keep playing the sport he loves.
